Saturday October 27

Eagles Landing....it's the old elementary school in town that has been converted into little shops. Every year on the saturday before Halloween they have trick or treating at the shops and then games in the gym and free food. The kids love to go.

So these are my little "monsters" this year. Tiernan and Maeve are matching Ninjas and Molly is a clown. She talked about being a clown for weeks before this! What a good time.

They had so much fun, as did we.
Memories like this are special, because they are growing so fast and before I know it they will be gone and off at college and starting their own lives, so I am treasuring these memoires as they happen.

Accomplishments

Some accomplishments in life are bigger today than they will be in the future, but we are living in today, and so little accomplishments mean the world, espically to us moms.

This is Tiernan, my one and only son, mama's boy....of course right now he doesn't mind be called that but I am sure that will change before I know it.
The top picture is of Tiernan showing off his Bobcat Badge that he received Tuesday night.
The bottom picture is of Tiernan right before the Cub Scouts meeting.
He has every right to be pretty proud of that badge. He worked hard for it, and he has only been in Cub Scouts since the end of August, first week of September and he already has that badge and is well on his way to his Wolf Badge.
He's proud, and if you can't tell mom is a little proud too. I am proud of how hard he worked. My little boy is growing up!

Thought for the Day, October 4

So many of us live with depression and accept it without even realizing it. The good news is that God doesn't want us to live with these feelings. He wants us to have the joy of the Lord rise in us and chase away spirits of heaviness. God wants us to cry out to Him so He can lift us out of depression.

Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity; for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping. Th Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.
Psalm 6:8-9

This is a difficult verse for me, as I have fought with depression much of my adult life steaming from my weight and low self-esteem. I daily have to remind myself that God is there and will easliy lift me out of the depression if I will only give him the chance. I need to turn to him, and he will make me happy.
