Etsy Treasury

For all of you who have ever been on Etsy.com, you understand.....

I got a Treasury!!!

What is a treasury you ask, well, a treasury is your picks of different peoples items on etsy that you like, you can pick anything, but they can't all be your own stuff.
Why is it such a big deal to have one? Well they only allow so many at a time, and I just happened to be on this morning when the window opened and I was able to create a Treasury.

Indiana Artisans at work is my treasury. I featured Indiana crafters, and in particular people who are on the IN Flood Relief Fundraiser list, so every item you see is in a shop that is donating proceeds from this months sales to IN Flood Relief. The other thing I did was pick purple items, to make it even more of a pretty treasury to look at.

So check it out, see something you like, visit the shop and buy this month!! Remember, you can get something great and handmade and at the same time know that proceeds from that purchase are going to IN Flood Relief, what a great feeling, so shop away people!!

INCrowdTeam - Fund Raiser

I am part of a "street Team" on etsy, the handmade site that hosts my store front, and as a street team, we have partnered with the church of one of the street team members to do a fund raiser for the recent IN flooding.

Here is the press release and a list of the shops that are participating, hope all the links work.

The INCrowd is partnering with Grace Lutheran Church in Columbus, IN to assist those affected by flooding in Indiana.
Each participating shop will generously donate a minimum of 10% of their sales for the month of July.

Grace Lutheran Church is assisting flood victims by setting up temporary shelters and donating food and clothing items to those in need. "At the moment everyone has been helped and are in temporary housing - they closed the shelter over the weekend. We will continue to take donations for quite awhile; the next phase is to help people rebuild and many did not have insurance and FEMA is not covering everything" states Carrie, Etsy shop owner of TimeandSand, who is also the director of the Care and Outreach Program at the church."Our membership is spread across the state of Indiana. Any part of our state that is affected by disasters - natural or otherwise - needs our support. These are our neighbors, our friends, and our families." says Kim, Etsy shop owner of ThePeachMartini.
